Our  100% Cotton throws are a thing of beauty. Each one is woven in South Africa then overdyed  in Cape Town to one of our 18 magnificent shades. With a size to suit every space and a colour to add style to any room, our Cotton Throws are made to last. Because they’re 100% cotton, they will never “pill” or make those little “bobbles” one finds on synthetic  fabrics. Each one weighs just under 2kg so they’re pretty substantial.

THE STORY

Every throw starts off as little more than a cone of the purest cotton South Africa has to offer. Now, when it comes to cotton, there are two spinning procedures; regular open-end and the far superior ring-spun sort. We prefer the latter.

After the cotton arrives at our premises our staff weave the yarn into complete throws. Then we warm wash and tumble dry the throws to ensure they are preshrunk, a process that settles the throw’s shape,
literally adding years to its life. The overdyed throws are dyed using a reactive dying process, ensuring colour-fastness.

atch, which means it’s as comfortable draped over dining room tables as it is over beds and sofa’s. In fact, throws are the perfect way to protect a new lounge suite or restore an old favourite that’s looking a little jaded.

Our range of colours flows from Ecru ( natural ) through the pinks, oranges, greens and blues to black. Or our Shades of Khaki design is also a delight.  Please choose your  colour choice from the drop down menu.

Depending on stock on hand, it can take 7 working days approximately to despatch your order . Each blanket or throw is woven and hand-knotted-
and good things are worth waiting for.

Our throws are made to be machine washed and tumble dried making them a practical choice wherever you need to add an enchanting combination of texture and colour.
